SPAGHETTI KITCHEN

Diagonally opposite to the Forum Mall, nestled in the heart of Koramangala, this is one restaurant you just cant miss, especially at night. Above a restaurant called Punjabi Grill by Jiggs Kalra, which is another place to be for fans of North Indian food and good ambience, this restaurant has another branch in Indiranagar too. Bill Marchetti, the Italian Chef for Spaghetti kitchen, brings Italy’s enticing variety of distinctive flavours into its repertoire of dishes, with a focus on authenticity.

Well the restaurant has a lot of different sections you can comfortably seat yourself at : The Lounge (that wasn't open yet due to license issues apparently), the Cafe (The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf) and two differently styled dining sections. All in all, a fabulous setup!

One point worth mentioning is their excellent service with a feel-good factor. When you leave the place, almost the entire staff bids you good bye. Moreover, the service is pretty prompt and definitely up-to-the mark. The creative dishes as well as their presentation are also quite commendable.

Let's have a look at the food we tried out.. Incredible variety on the menu.. Defined by its spacious settings and elegant décor, Spaghetti Kitchen is a unique destination that offers authentic Italian flavour in a contemporary atmosphere.

Every table is served a complimentary bread basket comprising bread sticks, a couple of rolls and some focaccia with a dip.

Appetizers: Salads, Special breads, Anti pastos, soups

CARTA DA MUSICA/SARDINIAN 'MUSIC PAPER'

Thin pizza crisps layered with a spicy tomato oregano salsa and 'ricotta salata'. Something different from the usual. Worth a try..

CAPPUCCINO OF FOUR MUSHROOM SOUP

Well, this was quite a delightful surprise. Mushroom soup served like a cappuccino with a small mushroom toast to go along with it.

PARMESAN CREAM CHEESE BABY POTATOES

Oven roasted herb potatoes cooked with parmesan, cream and fresh herbs. It is one of their recommended dishes. Pretty good if not for d slight distaste with d potatoes (must have been the garlic or something :/)

Main course: Pizzas, Risottos, Steaks, Fillets, Cannelonni, Pastas- fettucinis, fusilis, penne, spaghetti and a lot more.

GARLIC MILANO PRAWNS

Arabian Sea Prawns sauteed and highlighted with roasted garlic, chili flakes, sage and fresh basil. Presentation is pretty neat and the food delicious too! :)

POLLO CON PEPPERONATA

Breast of chicken stuffed with fontina and tellegio cheeses and salsa verde, wrapped with sliced Parma ham on yellow and red pepperonata sauce. An absolutely heavenly dish :)

The Bar offers a wide selection of world wines to complement the cuisine. And, of course, delicious DESSERTS like Cassata, ‘Tiramisu’ and ‘Chocolate Bomb’ make for the perfect sweet ending.

PHILADELPHIA CHEESECAKE

Found this one too dry for my taste. Could definitely do with a change of the base crust, I must say :/

OREO CHEESECAKE

Although not as great as the one in Spiga, this one is still worth a try.
Guess I should have just tried out the other desserts mentioned in the menu! :/
