Just realized how hard it is to write about a place you visited quite a while ago when your taste buds are still tingling with the immense variety of food you’ve had after that. Anyway, The Ranoosh was quite a different experience in itself, serving Lebanese/ Mediterranean food in Bangalore! Situated in KH Road, Shantinagar, it is a very good restaurant with excellent service.
The ambience as we stepped in:
Let's take a quick glimpse of the MENU:
And now that we have whet our appetites, let's begin! :)
Well, first off, we were served the little salted pickles while we waited for the dishes to arrive after having ordered from the menu.

So we decided to opt for a Seafood dish first..
SAUTE SHRIMPS:
Coriander marinated shrimps grilled served with garlic butter. Well, I would give it a 4 on 5.
Moving on to the Main course, we ordered two dishes:
SHISH KEBAB:
Lamb cubes seasoned and char grilled, served on Oriental Bread with fries. Pretty good stuff.
LEBANESE CHICKEN QUOZI:
Served with rice, minced lamb and nuts.
This one was a winner! We were given an option: if we wanted to have the huge piece, bones and all or if we preferred the bones removed, which needless to say is what I went for! Highly recommended! :)

Coming to the desserts and sweets,
ASHET SARAYAH:
Ashta cream in between two layers of bread dipped in special syrup, topped with ground pistachios.
This dish was just an absolute delight. So very different, so very unique. A definite must have at this place!
ORIENTAL BAKLAVA:
Served warm with honey.
The Oriental Baklava wasn’t the original one that you get back in the Gulf; this one was pretty much Indianized. But somehow, coz it was served with icecream, it surprisingly did taste good in the end, just not the way a tastes like, but still a good dish if it were probably given another name ;)

This place is definitely the place to go to try out a different cuisine from the usual. The service is also pretty commendable here. All in all, worth a visit.
On a scale of 5, I would give:
Ambience: 3
Service: 5
Food: 4.5
Money's worth: 4
Price Range: 1500 (Meal for 2)
